Courtney Love is hoping that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will begin to recognize women and people of color. On March 17, the "Doll Parts" singer wrote a scathing op-ed for The Guardian. In her essay, she found that women account for only eight percent of the inductees, although the figures for people of color are similar. POPSUGAR reached out to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for a comment on Love's words, but no one responded immediately.
"If the Rock Hall is not keen to investigate how it is replicating the violence of structural misogyny and misogym that artists face in the music industry, then let it go to hell in a handbag," Love wrote.
