Maya Ali was born in Lahore, Pakistan, to Muslim parents on July 27th. Tanveer Ali, her father, was a businessman, and Shafta Nazar, her mother, is a homemaker. Affnan is her younger brother. Ali obtained her master's degree in mass communication from the Queen Mary College. Ali began her career early, serving as a video jockey for the channels Samaa TV, Waqt News, and Dunya News. Ali's father was against her serving in the entertainment industry and didn't speak to her for six years, but she reconciled with him before his death in 2016.
