Early life and career

Matteo Guidicelli was born in Cebu City. He is one of three children of Gianluca Guidicelli, an Italian, and Glenna Fernan, a Filipino. Vicente "Inting" Fernan, the uncle of former Senator and Chief Justice Marcelo Fernan, makes him Guidicelli's grand uncle.

Guidicelli began racing his early teens, starting at the age of 11. He has received several prizes, including being a three-time winner of the Karter of the Year award.

After attending lectures at the New York Academy, Guidicelli became interested in acting. He began attending plays as soon as he returned to the Philippines. He also attended Columbia College in Chicago for two years in order to obtain a B.A. In the field of performing arts, the theatre company In the field of musical theater.

Guidicelli's acting career began when he appeared on the fourth season of the teenage comedy sitcom Go Kada Go Go Go Go – Go Kada Go in 2007, becoming a member of ABS-CBN's Star Magic.
