Mat Zo Life

Matan Zohar (born 30 April 1990), better known by his stage name Mat Zohar, is a British producer and DJ.

On November 5, 2013, Zohar's debut album, Damage Control, was released on the Anjunabeats and Astralwerks labels.

Self Assemble, his second studio album, was released on March 25, 2016 under his own Mad Zoo brand.

Early life

Matan Zohar, the son of Israeli singer Eli Zohar's half-brother, and half-brother, was born in London on April 30 and died in Ohio until the age of 11 before returning to his birthland. He was raised by his mother, Wendy Caron Zohar, a neologist who nurtured Matan's early passion for and inclination toward music. At the age of eight, his father, a Kazakhstan-born painter, gave him a guitar, which eventually led to him playing in orchestras and playing with drums and bass. Zohar started exploring electronic music in his teens by self-learning music production with Logic Pro and drawing inspiration from artists like The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk.
