Mark Owen Life

Mark Anthony Patrick Owen (born 27 January 1972) is an English singer and songwriter.

He is a member of the Take That Party, a pop group.

Owen had sold over 500,000 albums worldwide and 45 million with Take That.

Early life

Owen lived in an oldham small council house with his mother Mary, his father Keith, brother Daniel, and sister Tracey. His father, a decorator, later took up a job at a police station. His mother, a baker, worked as a supervisor. Owen was educated at Holy Rosary Primary and St Augustine's Catholic Schools, both in Oldham. In addition to having trials at Manchester United and Rochdale, he had no interest in music and played briefly for Chadderton F.C. He worked with Barclays in Failsworth before auditioning for Take That.

Personal life

Owen is married to actress Emma Ferguson. They have a son and two daughters. Beyond Autism is a charity that supports people with autism.

Owen admitted to having multiple affairs, one of which lasted from late 2004 to September 2009, as part of Progress's reporting, as well as an alcohol problem. He then enrolled in a private clinic for drug therapy related to his drinking six months later.

Owen, along with his Take That bandmates Howard Donald and Gary Barlow, invested £26 million in music industry investment schemes in June 2012. When it was revealed that the plans could act as tax shelters for high-net-worth individuals, the news ignited controversies. Lawyers retaliated in response to allegations, noting that the band members "paid significant tax" and that the services were not intended to avoid tax avoidance purposes but rather were legitimate commercial enterprises. In an interview with BBC Radio in 2020, Paul Stenning, who worked with the band under their financial advisor Simon Orange, detailed how the band's finances were arranged, saying they were "completely disseminated."

On Channel 4's Launched, Owen was announced as an Ambassador for Amber Run. Owen has also participated in both Soccer Aid 2012 and 2014.

Mark Owen Career

Solo career

Owen was the first of the band's ex-members to debut a solo album after the Take That split. With his debut single, "Child," he climbed to number three in the UK Singles Chart. "Clementine," his second single, debuted at number three on the charts, has also ranked at number three. Green Man's album was released in 1996, peaking at number 33. Owen was dropped by BMG Records in late 1997 after his second single, "I Am What I Am," charted at number 29.

Owen won the second series of Celebrity Big Brother in November 2002, with 77% of the public vote against television host Les Dennis. Owen was surrounded by the fans' love, and he burstled in tears. He returned to the spotlight after being invited to perform with Robbie Williams at Knebworth and signed an agreement with Island/Universal Records. Owen returned to the top of the charts in August 2003 with the top 5 hit "Four Minute Warning," which stayed in the Top 40 for eight weeks. In Your Own Time, his second album, which debuted in November 2003, debuted at number 59 on the charts. Owen's debut, "Alone Without You," debuted at number 26, was dropped by Island/Universal Records.

He founded Sedna Records in April 2004. Owen was looking for a day job, according to one survey from 2004, but he said, "Doing it correctly isn't cheap." These are my indulgences. I don't have a Ferrari, but I have two albums. Mark debuted his first single "Makin' Out," which debuted at No. 1 on the charts. The UK Singles Chart ranks at number 30 on the UK Singles Chart, making it the first charted single to be unveiled in a non-Charted format. How the Mighty Fall, his third solo album, was released on April 18, 2005, which was shot at Sunset Studios, Los Angeles, where he was born in 2004. It hit No. 1 on the charts. In Germany, 56 people were killed. Owen said that it was more "his" album than the previous two because he had absolute control over every aspect of the album, and it was a true representation of where he was living. He was picked up by Caroline Elleray (Coldplay, Keane), resulting in his signing of his BMG Music Publishing contract. Mark's second single "Believe in the Boogie" debuted at No. 2, ranked at No. 109. The UK charts show that it ranked at 57, making it his lowest charting single at that time. Despite the fact that it did not do well, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's second single was included in the European soundtrack of the American film Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. He released "Hail Mary" as a single from the album in February 2006.

According to a Sun Mark article, he wanted to restart his solo career in March 2012. "Mark has already made significant headway," a source told. He has written new material in the studio with top writers and is planning more sessions over the next few months. All the lads are behind him. As a happy guy, being a success in his own right and his own writing assignments has always been a huge motivator. Owen had stopped recording the album and planned to tour the following spring, according to NME.

New information about the album, as well as the album's name, The Art of Doing Nothing, were revealed in March 2013. Michael Brauer, Charlie Russell, Ben Mark, and Jamie Norton mixed the album in New York at the Electric Lady Studio. Ren Harvieu's collaboration will be included on the album, as well as Alt-J producer Charlie Russell's production. "Mark is very excited about the album; he sees it more as a collaborative project rather than a solo album," he said on a group of his friends. Ren Harvieu and Charlie Russell, the producer who has worked with Alt-J, as well as some outstanding illustrators, photographers, and film makers, among other contributors. The findings will surprise people – it is not what fans would like." On June 10, 2013, the album was scheduled to be released.

Owen's official website, as well as the deluxe album artwork, which depicts him in a white room, scribbling on the wall, whilst wearing a dapper hat, posted new photos and videos on his official website on May 1, 2013. "Every notion has a starting place," a tagline to accompany the artwork states. Nothing begins in an empty space." Both videos consist of a montage video depicting the album cover's photographic shoot and the second, which is a short interview with Owen in which he addresses the album's content and coverage. Owen also confirmed that he would tour the United Kingdom and Germany through June following his announcement of his fourth studio album.

Owen had been writing new material, perhaps for a new solo album on February 1, 2022. "He has been writing some songs, and they are sounding very good," Owen said. The singer will appear at the Isle of Wight Festival in June, according to the newspaper, but it is early days, but he is [...] toying with the prospect of another solo album. Nothing has been nailed down, but considering that he has done a solo album every ten years or so for the last two decades, it's now seems like a good time to reflect on it.

Owen official revealed on his social media pages on May 2022 that he was making a new record but gave no further details at the time. He officially announced his new album "Land of Dreams" on May 18, 2022, along with its first single "You Only Want Me."

"You Only Want Me" was released as the lead single on 19 May 2022, alongside the announcement of his upcoming album's release date, which will be 2022. At number 76 and the UK Sales charts at 78, the single appeared on the UK Downloads charts at number 76 and 78. Owen and the Take That hit "Shine" appeared at the National Lottery Big Jubilee party. Owen appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden, his first US television appearance as a solo artist, and second overall. "Are You Looking for Billy," Billy's second single on June 1022, was released on June 10, 2022. He was released. This was followed by the singers on September 10, 2022, who had released their third single "Magic" on August 10. Land of Dreams was announced on September 23rd, 2022. The UK Official Charts expected that the album would debut at number 2 on the Official Albums Charts on September 26th. The album debuted at number 5 on the UK Official Albums Chart Top 100 on September 30, 2022, becoming Owen's highest charting solo studio album. Land of Dreams debuted at number three on the UK Album Downloads and Sales Charts, ranked No. 3 on the UK Album Downloads and Sales Charts. "Magic" debuted at number 76 on the UK Official Singles Sales Chart Top 100, owing to digital sales of the album.
