Mark Maggiori (born on June 16, 1977) is a French-American painter, graphic designer, draftsman, guitarist, music video producer, and lead vocalist of Pleymo's nu metal band Pleymo.
He is best known for his paintings of American cowboys, American Indians, and the American Southwest.
Early life and education
In 1977, Maggiori was born in Fontainebleau, France. Maggiori travelled from New York City to San Francisco on a month-long road trip during his first visit to the United States, visiting numerous National Parks and other locations in the Southwestern United States at the age of 15. He later cited the trip as the beginning of his fascination with the Southwest and the source of his Western art.
Maggiori graduated from the Académie Julian in Paris, where he was specifically trained in academic drawing.
