She is well-known for her characterizations in telenovelas around the world.

Personal life

In 2004, De Sousa married Venezuelan actor Ricardo lamo and divorced in 2006. In 2016, she had a romantic relationship with Argentine-born Puerto Rican actor Julián Gil, with whom she had her first son, Matas Gregorio Gil de Sousa, which was unfavorable.

De Sousa began her modeling career and worked in television ads at the age of 12. In 1999, she competed for Miss Venezuela in the care of Venezuelan designer Giovanni Scutaro. Amantes de luna llena, the television station Venevisión's first telenovela, was a year later.
