Marija Gluvakov Life

Marija Gluvakov - Medenica (born 3 April 1973) is a Serbian pianist and piano teacher.

Education

Gluvakov was born in Senta, Serbia, before Yugoslavia. She began training in music colleges in Novi Kneevac, Biha, and Zemun. She graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in 1995 as the year's best student. She completed both piano performance (1999) and Chamber Music (1997), receiving the highest marks in both Piano Performance (1999) and Chamber Music (1997). Srebrenka iroki, Zorana Grbi, Milo Ivanovi, and Olivera Djurdjevi are her primary teachers. She also worked at the Moscow Conservatory with Dubojevi, Arbo Valdma, Rita Kinka, Rita Kinka, and with Russian pianists Dorensky and Pisarev, professors. She was invited to continue her studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City in 1995. Famous Professor Solomon Mikowsky, a jury member of the Frédéric Chopin International Competition in Rome, was particularly captivated by Gluvakov's appearance of the Third Piano Sonata of Sergei Prokofiev.

Performance career

Marija Gluvakov has appeared in Serbia and elsewhere. The premiere of her career include performances in the Grand Hall of the Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade, written by renowned Serbian composer Rajko Maksimovi (1995), and ClarinetFest (with clarinetist Andrija Blagojevi) in I.C.A. Serb national Chairperson (see above), recitals in Belgrade and Smederevo arranged by EPTA, participation in the project called Classical Guerrilla (a series of concerts held in 2002 in the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra), collaboration with Serbian and international artists in several multimedial projects, etc.

Gluvakov has performed classical piano concertos in addition to regular solo and chamber music recitals as a soloist with orchestras. (Bach, Beethoven, Schumann, Liszt).

She has appeared on radio and television.

Teaching career

Marija Gluvakov obtained her first teaching experience at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, Serbia, as a teaching assistant of Professor Ivanovi (1995–1998). She began teaching piano and Accompaniment at the same university, where she taught Piano and Accompaniment and Sight Reading under the guidance of eminent piano pedagogues Milo Ivanovi, Aleksandra Pavlovi, Tijana Humo, and Jokut Mihailovi (1998–2004).

Gluvakov has been teaching at the University of Pritina Faculty of Arts since 2004. She began working as an accompanist and secondary piano teacher (2004–2008). In 2008, she was named assistant professor of piano.
