Her nasal septum was harmed in a bicycle crash, which temporarily barred her from playing an instrument. She migrated to Szczecin, where she graduated from high school, at age 16. She also started taking private singing lessons from pianist Katowice Academy of Music Justyna Motylska and vocal coach Elbieta Zapendowska. Margaret, the English-language equivalent of Magorzata, was adopted by the actress at this time.

Years of suppressed emotions triggered by the event brought her to her breaking point in 2019, which culminated in a career break, she said.

Margaret endorses environmentalism and named her alter ego after the Greek Mother Earth Gaia. She works closely for the LGBT community and Anja Rubik's "SexEd" campaign, which promotes sex education. She later stated that she does not believe in God and that leaving the organization she no longer feels connected with makes it right. Margaret did not believe in the Christian God in a 2021 interview, but she does not consider herself an atheist. She believes in light and believes in miracles, and she believes in life.

To celebrate Pride Month in June 2020, Margaret organized "Tczowa Maggie" ("Maggie's Rainbow School") on Instagram Stories. In 2021 and 2022, she returned to the series.
