Marc Broussard Career

Musical career

Broussard, a 2001 Broussard was a member of Y, a Christian band based in New Iberia, Louisiana.

Broussard's solo career began with the introduction of many independent efforts, including 2002's Momentary Setback, which resulted in the creation of "The Wanderer," a song about self-discovery. On his first major album Carencro (Island Records), a re-worked version of the song appears. The album's name honors the musician's hometown of Carencro, Louisiana, where he now resides. It featured "Where You Are" (which attracted considerable airplay on VH1) and "Home" as two singles.

He introduced S.O.S. in 2007. Save Our Souls, an album that features a large number of cover songs. The album was his first to reach the top of the Billboard 200 in the United States, debuting and peaking at No. 10. 96: This had the effect of "graduating" him from the Top Heatseekers chart, which is made up of albums by artists who have never made it to the top 100.

Broussard completed recording the Must Be The Water EP on the Rock Boat VII in January 2008 and subsequently released it later this year. He was no stranger to the Rock Boat, the annual oceanliner cruise and music festival. This was Broussard's first appearance with his new label, Atlantic Records, with whom he had signed a multi-album deal in 2007.

Broussard has appeared on many television shows, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, A&E Breakfast with the Arts, Jimmy Kimmel Live, CBS' Early Show, Larry King Live, Lopez Tonight, and CBS' Second Cup Café. His music has appeared on shows such as Clash of the Choirs, in which a Blake Shelton-led choir performed "Home" on Saturday. In 2006 and 2007, singer Kelly Clarkson appeared on "Home" as part of her live setlist. The 2008 NBA All-Star Game featured his song "Must Be the Water."

Broussard's next studio album, Keep Coming Back, was released in 2008. In the last episode of the HBO series Hard Knocks, starring the Cincinnati Bengals football team, the song "Hard Knocks" from this album was included.

Marc Broussard, Broussard's fourth full-length album, was released on June 14, 2011. Marc Broussard EP, an early EP version, was released on March 22, 2011, and it includes the singles "Lucky" and "Only Everything." "Cruel," the third single from the artist, will be released later this year. He signed a contract with Vanguard Records in late 2012.

He released Magnolias and Mistletoe, his first Christmas album, on November 6, 2015, which was preceded by the single "Almost Christmas."

In March 2016, he revealed a new studio album that would be a sequel to his '70s-influenced S.O.S. Save Our Souls' album. In May, its first single, "Cry to Me," debuted in the United States. Following the year, he unveiled his forthcoming studio album, Easy to Love, on September 15, 2017. "Memory of You" by Ian Levine premiered in September 2018.
