Maisa was raised in the suburbs of So José dos Campos by her father, Celso de Arajo Andrade, a telephone technician, and her mother, Gislaine Silva Andrade, a homemaker. She begged for television appearances when she was three years old, and her mother began bringing her to television producers in July 2005.

Career

Maisa appeared in the Programa Raul Gil as a musical lipsyncer and singer at the age of three in 2005. Raul Gil first introduced her to Rede Record and then Rede Bandeirantes.

She joined SBT in 2007 to offer children's services Sábado Animado and Domingo Animado. She was invited to appear in a segment of Programa Silvio Santos in 2008, and has since been a hit on Brazilian television for answering random questions asked by presenter Silvio Santos, a founder of SBT and a symbol of Brazilian television. The Brazilian media characterized Maisa as a "protest girl" and "the girl's on Silvio Santos' eyes." Since then, she has been one of the network's most popular artists. She launched "Programa da Maisa" at SBT in 2017. Netflix Brazil recruited Maisa Silva in 2019.

She decided not to renew with the broadcaster after 13 years at SBT. She wanted to work on personal projects.

Maisa began posting videos on YouTube in 2014 (named Maisera), with vlogs, interviews, music videos, and others.
