Career

Ziegler, mother and sister first appeared on television in 2011 on Lifetime's reality dance show Dance Moms. The Zieglers left the show after six seasons to work on other ventures in 2016. Ziegler appeared on Dance Moms' Ultimate Dance Competition and Abby's Studio Rescue, as well as Dance Moms.

Ziegler's debut album, Mack Z, was released in 2014, which she also used as a stage name for singing appearances. Ziegler TurnBoard, a turning practice aid for dancers, was released in 2016. Ziegler and tween retailer Justice collaborated on dance-inspired activewear clothing lines in 2017 and 2018. Justice also collaborated with her on a video of her song "Teamwork," a back-to-school social media campaign with an anti-bullying theme, in order to sell the product. Ziegler launched Tee4Too, a tee-shirt collection that year, and in 2019, she joined FanJoy, releasing a range of sweatshirts and tee-shirts.

In January 2017, Ziegler and her sister ran a dance workshop tour of Australia. Ziegler is featured in a 2017 dance commercial for GM. In mid-2018, they held their second dance workshop tour of Australia and New Zealand.

Ziegler appeared in the high school drama series Total Eclipse from 2018 to 2020, a teenage girl struggling with unpopularity. She was an executive producer on the show. In the film Brat Holiday Spectacular (2018), she also co-starred as the same character. Ziegler and her sister appeared on The Slow Mo Guys YouTube channel in February 2018. She appeared on the front page of Girls' Life magazine in April/May 2018. "a collection of inspirational, upbeat lessons for kids learning to navigate life" is Ziegler's Rules for Life: How to be Happy, Healthy, and Dance to Your Own Beat," a self-help book published in May 2018. The book debuted at No. 6 in the United States. Publishers Weekly's best-seller list for juvenile non-fiction hits number seven. Ziegler's own cosmetics collection, "Love, Kenzie," debuts in fall 2018.

In 2018, Ziegler competed on Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, reaching the finals. For the first time on television since Dance Moms, she and her sister danced together on one episode of this show.
