Lydia Reed Life

Lydia Reed (born August 23, 1944) is an American former child actress best known for her appearance in Tallahassee "Hassie" McCoy's 145 episodes, starring Walter Brennan in the title role of Grandpa Amos McCoy. Irving Pincus was the creator, and Hy Averback was the first principal director. On April 9, 1959, Reed's "Sweet Fifteen" episode of the series prominently featured Reed. * It centers on Grandpa's determination to keep Hassie's looming fifteenth birthday party a mystery during its five-year stint on ABC. Reed appeared less often in the final year, as did Michael Winkelman (1946–1999) as Little Luke McCoy, Reed's younger brother on the series, and Robert Montgomery Presents (the second episode of the series entitled "Dr. * Serocold") and Robert Montgomery Presents. * In 1955, she appeared in The Seven Little Foys, a Bob Hope film. * In the episode "Mate with the Executioner" of the anthology Jane Wyman Presents the Fireside Theatre in the same year. * She appeared in the NBC series "Hit and Run" as Caroline Lord in High Society, with Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Grace Kelly in 1956. In the horror film The Vampire: Betsy Beecher was her last film appearance after she was on The Real McCoys, she ceased to act in a television reunion special starring Nolan, Steve McCoy, and Richard Crenna, who portrayed farmhand Pepino Garcia, Hassie's older brother for the entire series.
