Lou Romano Life

Lou Romano (born April 15, 1972) is an American animator and voice actor.

He did some design work on Monsters, Inc.

Bernie Kropp in The Incredibles, Snot Rod in Cars, and Alfredo Linguini in Ratatouille were among the Incredibles. Romano was keen on drawing and painting at an early age and studied theater arts, appearing in plays throughout junior high and high school.

He studied acting at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA).

He studied animation at the California Institute of the Arts in 1990 after graduating in 1990.

He then did workshops at The Groundlings in Los Angeles.

He went on to work as an art director and designer on animated projects, including The Powerpuff Girls and The Iron Giant. Romano joined Pixar in 2000 as the production designer of The Incredibles, for which he received an Annie Award in 2005.

His work has been seen on the front page of The New Yorker and the Museum of Modern Art and the Gallery at The Metropolitan Opera in New York City.

Romano left Pixar in 2009 to work at Laika in Portland, Oregon.

Lou and his wife live in the Bay Area.
