Early life
Loughlin was born in Queens, New York, and she and her mother moved to Hauppauge, on Long Island, when she was one year old. Lorellee and Joseph Roy Loughlin, a New York Telephone Company foreman, have one younger brother, Roy, who is of Irish descent; their parents are Lorellee and Joseph Lewis Loughlin.
Loughlin was a student at Oaks School No. 4 in Oxford, England. The 3 Elementary School in Oceanside, New York, was founded at Hauppauge High School and graduated from Hauppauge High School.
Personal life
Loughlin is a Catholic. Michael R. Burns, an investment banker, married her in 1989 and divorced him in 1996. Loughlin eloped with fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, the designer of the Mossimo clothing collection who first met in 1995, on Thanksgiving 1997. Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade's two children, while Loughlin is a stepmother to Gianni, Giannulli's son from a previous marriage. As of 2015, Olivia had a YouTube channel of beauty tips and an Instagram account, with more than 1 million followers/followers.
Loughlin and her partner Giannulli sold their Bel Air estate to Tinder co-founder Justin Mateen in 2020. The house was built in 1929 and was previously owned by Harry Cohn, Johnny Hyde, and Charles Bronson.
The FBI and US Attorney's Office charged Loughlin and her husband Giannulli on March 12, 2019, in a national college bribery investigation. Loughlin and her husband were arrested in Los Angeles on the following day by federal prosecutors. Loughlin pleaded guilty to one count of wire and mail theft conspiracy conspiracy, and her husband pled guilty to one count of wire and mail fraud conspiracy, as well as honest services wire and mail fraud.
Sentencing took place on August 21, 2020. When her husband was sentenced to five months in jail, Loughlin was sentenced to two months in jail. She served her two-month prison term at FCI Dublin in Northern California from October 30, 2020 to December 28, 2020, when she was given a two-year controlled release, which will come to an end in December 2022. In addition, she was fined $150,000 and ordered to complete 100 hours of community service upon her release. Giannulli was sentenced to five months in jail, fined $250,000, and ordered to complete 250 hours of community service. On November 19, 2020, Giannulli announced that he would go to prison. He was released to home confinement before completing his sentence on April 16, 2021, on April 2, 2021. Both Loughlin's children were able to remain enrolled in USC.
Loughlin and Giannulli were named as defendants in a private class action lawsuit brought by Stanford University graduates, who said that their education and degrees had been devalued due to the school's involvement with the investigation.
Career
Loughlin began interested in being a child; she began her career at the age of 11 as a print model.
She appeared in the ABC soap opera The Edge of Night, playing Jody Travis, an aspiring dancer who appeared in the series from 1980 to 1983. Loughlin appeared in more than a dozen feature films and television guest spots from 1983 to 1988. Rad, the 1986 BMX classic, starred her.
Loughlin appeared in ABC's Full House from 1988 to 1995 as Rebecca "Aunt Becky" Donaldson, Danny Tanner's (Bob Saget) co-host, and later Jesse Katsopolis's (John Stamos) wife. She was initially planned for a six-episode arc, but then became a regular after becoming a popular character on the series. Loughlin appeared with Tony Danza in the ABC sitcom Hudson Street (1995–96). After one season, the show was cancelled.
In 1993, Loughlin appeared in the television adaptation of Sidney Sheldon's book A Stranger in the Mirror, a roman à clef on Groucho Marx and Erin Fleming, in which Loughlin appears in Fleming's role. In the film In the Line of Duty: Blaze of Glory, she appeared alongside Bruce Campbell in 1997. Loughlin appeared alongside Treat Williams in the Fred Olen Ray-directed thriller "Under Pressure" in 2000. Loughlin co-created, produced, and starred in The WB drama series Summerland, from 2004 to 2005. After their parents' deaths in a car crash, she played Ava, the aunt who raises three children. On July 11, 2005, the series was cancelled after two seasons due to low ratings. Loughlin co-starred in the ABC sitcom In Case of Emergency with David Arquette in 2007. She appeared in the film Moondance Alexander (2007), co-starring her old Summerland castmate Kay Panabaker.
