Rémy called the supporters' behavior "unacceptable" during an interview, and he warned that if the behavior was repeated, the club would leave the team during the winter 2010 transfer window. Rémy had a lot of admiration from various clubs, including Premier League clubs Arsenal and Fiorentina, as well as Italian clubs AC Milan and Fiorentina. In a 3–3 draw with Boulogne on May 2, he scored two goals, and on the final match day of the year against Saint-Étienne, Rémy scored the Nice's only goal in a 1–1 draw.

Rémy was linked to a transfer to Stoke City in 2010 and was even photographed on the club's training ground checking forte out the facilities. Chastian was also responsible for the team's training ground testing out the equipment. However, nothing came of this, and Marseille announced on August 19 that they had reached an understanding with Nice for the transfer of Rémy. He underwent a medical on the same day and then signed a five-year deal. On August 20, he was unveiled to the public. The transfer fee has been undisclosed, but it is estimated that it will be in the region of €15 million. During Rémy's press conference, Marseille president Jean-Claude Dassier revealed that Rémy suffered from a possible heart disease during the player's medical examinations. Rémy did not attend the team's league match against Lorient on August 21, and further tests were conducted on August 23 to see if the defect could be career-threatening. Rémy was deemed fit to practice and play football at a high level by Marseille doctors and heart specialists hired by the club on August 24.

Chelsea's Timo Werner, Romelu Lukaku, and the most expensive striker flops are among Chelsea's most expensive striker flops

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 21, 2022
Chelsea seems to have started again. Timo Werner (right), the latest in a long line of big-money, high-profile knock flops, is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the wake of much anticipation - and then fail. Werner will not be the first striker to leave this season, with Romelu Lukaku's farewell to Inter Milan in June, a year after the club's first signing. Fernando Torres (inset) and Ballon D'Or winner Andriy Shevchenko (second left) failed to live up to expectations, although Blues fans may recall Adrian Mutu and Mateja Kezman's appearances, as well as Didier Drogba (left). Sportsmail navigates Chelsea's litany of costly mistakes up front, with Werner's medical at RB Leipzig set for Tuesday.
