Louise E. Goddard (born 20 January 1950) professionally known as Liza Goddard is an English television and stage actress best known for her 1970s and 1980s television performances.
Early life
Goddard was born in Smethwick, Staffordshire, England. She is the niece of David Goddard (1925–1992), a television actress who produced and directed numerous TV shows and programs. She attended Farnham Girls' Grammar School before her father moved the family to Australia when she was 15, when she was appointed Head of Drama at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
Personal life
Colin Baker, a future Doctor Who actor, was Goddard's first marriage. Frazer Hines, a former Doctor Who companion who appeared in Baker's book "The Two Doctors," was also dated by the woman. She had a son, Thom, from another marriage before marrying Baker.
Alvin Stardust, a 1981 pop star, married her. Sophie Jewry, Goddard's daughter from her time with Stardust, was seriously wounded at the age of two months after falling down a set of stairs and sustained a serious fracture of the skull. She recovered from her injury later this year.
David Cobham, a producer and director, was Goddard's third marriage.

Career
Goddard made early television appearances in Australia, including episode 100 of Homicide ("The Traveller") and the ABC drama play Romanoff & Juliet (1967), as well as a brief (non-speaking, uncredited) appearance in the feature film They're A Weird Mob (1966). However, she is best remembered in Australia for her role as Clarissa "Clancy" Merrick in Skippy the Bush Kangaroo, in which she appeared in the first two series and 48 episodes.
Victoria Edgecombe, the character created by Terence Brady and Charlotte Bingham in 1969's 'Take Three Girls (1982), was back in the United Kingdom as an adult. She appeared in the 1972 comedy film Ooh... You Are Awful, starring Dick Emery. She made her career breakthrough in April (1972–76), which also featured her first husband, Colin Baker. She appeared in Woof!, a Children's ITV show that first appeared in 1989. This series was created by her third husband, producer and director David Cobham. She appeared in Brendon Chase's television version, which Cobham also produced and directed.
She was also the female team leader on the long-running quiz/panel show Give Us A Clue, replacing Una Stubbs in the role for many years.
