Early life
Kozlowski was born and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut, the granddaughter of Helen E. (née Helena Parniawska) and Stanley M. Kozlowski (né Stanis Kozlowski). She is a 1976 graduate of Fairfield's Andrew Warde High School. In 1981, Kozlowski graduated from Juilliard School's drama department.
Personal life
Kozlowski appeared in Crocodile Dundee (1986) with Australian actor Paul Hogan, and in Crocodile Dundee II two years later, when they became a couple. After he divorced his wife Noelene, they married on May 5, 1990. They tried to settle in Australia but in the late 1990s, they migrated to Los Angeles.
Chance is the son of Kozlowski and Hogan. Before her marriage to Hogan, Kozlowski had been married once. With the divorce finalized in 2014, Kozlowski filed for divorce from Hogan in October 2013, citing irreconcilable differences.
Career
How It All Began, an off-Broadway production from 1981–1985. In Death of a Salesman, she appeared on Broadway, and in 1984, she appeared in the 1985 film version.
Her big break came in 1986, when she was opposite Paul Hogan in the Australian film Crocodile Dundee, where their on-screen chemistry resulted in a real friendship. Sue Charlton was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 1987 for her work as Sue Charlton. She revived her leading role with Hogan in Crocodile Dundee II, two years later. She appeared in Pass the Ammo and the TV miniseries Favorite Son in 1988, as well as Bill Paxton, Tim Curry, and Annie Potts.
She has appeared in Almost an Angel in 1990, Backstreet Justice (with Paul Sorvino) and The Neighbor (with Rod Steiger) in 1994, and Village of the Damned in 1995. She appeared in Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles in 2001 and 2005.
She has largely left the acting profession due to dissatisfaction with the roles she was playing, stating: "These nifty, schlocky films that were on display were causing me an ulcer, basically because she was the only one on the set that cared about anything." I decided to give it all away due to that and my biological clock.
