Calderón was born in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico, on July 15, 1968.

Leticia, a teenager from 1983, appeared in television dramas including Bianca Vidal, Amalia Batista, Principessa, El ángel cado, and Monte Calvario.

She began playing mature roles in 1986 with the telenovela El camino secrecy as an antagonist. Mara Fernanda Villalpando, her first protagonist role, appeared in La indomable as Mara Fernanda Villalpando.

Leticia appeared in a number of telenovelas, including Yo compro esa mujer, Valeria y Maximiliano, Entre la vida y la muerte, and special appearances in Prisionera de amor and Lazos de amor in the 90s.

She was a protagonist in Esmeralda in 1997, when she appeared blind.

In 1998, she made a special appearance in the telenovela El diario de Daniela.
