Career
Kennedy, a Cleveland boy, began his career as a disc jockey and nightclub promoter. In June 1971, Kennedy moved to Los Angeles, California, to continue his indefension in his career. Kennedy began as a DJ on the FM rock station and later served as a show coordinator. Kennedy appeared in Fred Williamson's action film Hammer in 1972. Kennedy appeared in another Fred Williamson film, Mean Johnny Barrows, in 1976. Kennedy and his then-wife Jayne Kennedy and James Iglehart appeared in the 1978 film Death Force.
Body and Soul was released in 1981. Leon Johnson, an up-and-coming boxer, was written by him as well.
