Leon Isaac Kennedy Life

Leon Isaac Kennedy (born June 1, 1948 - January 1, 1949) (sources differ) is an American actor, disk jockey, film director, and playwright.

In Jamaa Fanaka's Penitentiary II (1982) and Penitentiary III (1987), Kennedy is perhaps best known as Martel "Too Sweet" Gordone.

Leon "The Lover" Johnson in 1981 film Body and Soul alongside his then-wife Jayne Kennedy is best known for his role as him.


Leon Isaac Kennedy Career


Kennedy, a Cleveland boy, began his career as a disc jockey and nightclub promoter. In June 1971, Kennedy moved to Los Angeles, California, to continue his indefension in his career. Kennedy began as a DJ on the FM rock station and later served as a show coordinator. Kennedy appeared in Fred Williamson's action film Hammer in 1972. Kennedy appeared in another Fred Williamson film, Mean Johnny Barrows, in 1976. Kennedy and his then-wife Jayne Kennedy and James Iglehart appeared in the 1978 film Death Force.

Body and Soul was released in 1981. Leon Johnson, an up-and-coming boxer, was written by him as well. Jayne Kennedy and Peter Lawford appeared in the film, which was also a remake of 1947's Body and Soul. In 1988, Kennedy met Ernest Borgnine, Herbert Lom, Oliver Reed, Robert Vaughn, and Arnold Vosloo on the Skeleton Coast. In 1991, Kennedy appeared in Damages, an episode of Against the Law starring Spider John Kerry.
