Leon Hendrix (born January 13, 1948) is an artist, songwriter, and guitarist who began playing the guitar later in life and has released several albums.

He is best known for his original artwork.

Personal life

He is the brother of American rock guitarist and singer Jimi Hendrix. He suffered from heroin use, and he served time in jail for minor offences.

He is the father of six children and four grandchildren.

Hendrix was employed by Boeing for many years as an expert draftsman. Hendrix has been trying to make a living off music and art for the past five years. Keeper of the Flame, and the earlier Seattle Rains were both released by the Leon Hendrix Band in 2006. Hendrix's Biography: Jimi Hendrix's Life in 2012 Hendrix published a biography of his brother Jimi Hendrix: A Brother's Novel. Adam Mitchell co-wrote the book, which was released by St. Martin's Press.
