Leo Rossi (born June 26, 1946) is an American actor, writer, and producer.

He is best known for his role as foul-mouthed EMT Vincent "Budd" Scarlotti in 1981 horror film Halloween II, as the serial killer Turkell from the 1990 horror film Maniac Cop 2 and Relentless as Detective Sam Dietz.

He has directed Heart Like a Wheel (1983), River's Edge (1986), Analyze This (1999), and One Night at McCool's (2001).

Rossi began his career with small roles in films, including the Rick Rosenthal-scripted Halloween II (1981) with Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence, in which he falls victim to suburban maniac Michael Myers, who is a suburban maniac Michael Myers. In Jonathan Kaplan's Heart Like a Wheel (1983), Barbara Bedelia and Beau Bridges, Tim Hunter's River's Edge (1986) with Dennis Hopper and Keanu Reeves, and Bob Rafelson's Black Widow (1988), Rossi's "Scorpion" Albrect casts a chilling role as the film's central antagonist, Cliff "Scorpion" Albrect. Rossi's involvement in Relentless (1989), a serial killer film starring Judd Nelson and Robert Loggia, became a central protagonist in three sequels. Rossi accompanied Relentless with Lustig's Maniac Cop 2 (1990), a horror film sequel starring Bruce Campbell and scripted by Larry Cohen.

Rossi appeared on television in the 1980s as one of the original characters in the science fiction film Hill Street Blues (1982), a recurring character; Steven Spielberg's fantastic science fiction series Amazing Stories (1989); and the Vietnam War drama Tour of Duty (1989).

Rossi began watching Fast Getaway (1991): the film about a father (Rossi) and his son (Corey Haim) who rob banks together until the former is discovered and jailed, and the latter is compelled to break him out; Fast Getaway has one of the highest ratings on cable television; Corey Haim) had one of the worst performances in the 1990s. Rossi appeared in Where the Day Takes You (1992), a drama starring Sean Astin, James LeGros, Dermot Mulroney, and Christian Slater, a teen runaways struggling to survive on Los Angeles's streets, depicting their lives. He was a detective in the Pamela Anderson film Raw Justice (1994), a teen drama starring Corey Feldman and Corey Haim, and he reprised his role in Fast Getaway 2 (1994). Rossi appeared in the Harold Ramis hit comedy Analyze This (1999), in which he portrays Robert De Niro's nefarious cousin, a narro's role.

Murder She Wrote (1992), Frasier (1997), JAG, and a regular presence in ER (1999). In Kaplan's interpretation of Truman Capote's psychological thriller In Cold Blood (1996), he portrayed a special agent; the former – a miniseries set in 1950s America – co-stars Sam Neill and Eric Roberts.

Rossi appeared in a variety of roles in Analyze This is where he appeared in one night at McCool's (2001), where he co-starred with Armand Assante, William Baldwin, Bruno Kirby, and Liv Tyler; the same year he accepted a part in the mobster thriller One Eyed King (2001) co-starring Armand Assante, William Baldwin, Bruno Kirby, and Chazz Palminteri, all in Analyze Timothy Dalton, Brendan Fraser, Heather Locklear, and Steve Martin followed him onstage in Looney Tunes: A Live Action-Animation Comedy directed by Joe Dante. Rossi developed and appeared in the drama 10th & Wolf (2006), in which he plays an FBI Agent alongside Brian Dennehy; the two agents then attempt to infiltrate – and bring down – a Sicilian Mafia family firm. Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, James Marsden, Brad Renfro, Giovanni Ribisi, and Lesley Ann Warren are among the cast members of 10th & Wolf's loosely based on the true story of a Philadelphia crime mafia war in the 1990s; other cast members include Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, James Marsden, Brett Renfro, Giovanni Ribisi, and Lesley Ann Warren.

Rossi appeared in another drama based on Joseph D. Pistone's life: Falcone (2000), and it also featured performances by Amy Carlson, Jason Gedrick, and Eric Roberts; it was based on the book Donnie Brasco: My Undercover Life in the Mafia by Pistone and Woodley. He appeared in Judging Amy (2001) and Without a Trace (2006).
