Personal life

Howard was homeschooled to accommodate his hectic work schedule on Kickin' It, but he spent the majority of his time in Studio City, California, but he loved Fallbrook, California, but he still felt he was born in the Howard family's home. Howard has been more vigilant about "fighting" and "sparring" matches due to the possibility of injuries that could affect his obligations as an actor, despite being devoted to his passion for martial arts.

Howard's hobbies include cooking, playing guitar, and buying antique firearms, including swords and knives. The central point of his collection is his massive "Conan" sword, which was presented to him after filming was complete on Conan the Barbarian. Leo Howard Career

Career

When Howard's parents took him to a dojo in Oceanside, California, he developed an interest in martial arts and began learning about it. His parents enrolled him in another dojo that specialized in the Okinawan art of Shrin-ryan, and at the age of seven, he began to develop his extreme martial arts skills by including gymnastics in his routine. When Mullins made an exception allowing Howard to be the youngest student in his class, he began training under martial arts world champion Matt Mullins. Howard had three world championships by the age of eight. His specialties are Shrin-ry, in which he holds two black belts.

Howard was the youngest member of Mullins' Sideswipe Performance Team, a traveling martial arts group that entertains audiences around the country with a blend of martial arts, dance, and acrobatics at age nine. Howard wrote about his time with Sideswipe in June 2011: "I think that's what made me hooked on performing." As I've grown as an actor and not necessarily grown, my job has changed. I was fine, but they weren't that good at the start, so they'd do cool moves and then poof! This cute kid is about to go out for some karate. I've been one of the top performers for the past two years, but for the past few years, I've been one of the best performers."

Howard was a huge fan of Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris films from a young age and adored their ability to bring martial arts into their acting. Howard told his mother that he wanted to be a comedian at the age of seven. Howard was first noticed by someone who thought he had the appearances to go into show business and referred him to their talent agent, who took him to a martial arts tournament. This led to work as a print advertisement model and then as an actor in commercials. Howard expressed his elation in 2010 when he first announced that television shows were "just insane to me." To me, getting a commercial was similar to being in a lead role in a film.

Howard made his television debut in 2005 with a small guest-starring role on the USA Network, "Maybe he's afraid of karate" for Halloween. Howard will spend the next several years with the Sideswipe Performance Team before returning to acting in 2009.

Howard found his first steady work interviewing celebrities as "Leo Little," the host of Leo Little's short-form Disney Channel talk show series, and made his debut in the family film "Aust and Ted." Howard gained notoriety for his martial arts abilities in August when he appeared as "Young Snake-Eyes" in a flashback scene for Paramount's action-adventure film G.I. The Rise of Cobra, Joe. He appeared in a co-starring role as "Laser," one of the three "Short" brothers in the family comedy film Shorts, earning the cast the Young Artist Award for the year as "Best Young Ensemble Cast" for the second year. Howard began a recurring role as "Hart Hamlin" on Disney XD's Zeke and Luther in November 2009. Howard appeared in his first leading role in the independent film Logan in 2010.

Howard appeared in "Young Conan" in August 2010, in which he performed all of his own stunts in Conan the Barbarian's sword and sorcery film. Howard was lauded for his role in the first scenes, but the Boston Globe's film critic, Ty Burr, said of Leo Howard, the feral 13-year-old actor who plays the young Conan. "I went to Lionsgate and said, 'Now'know, the movie to watch next is Conan: The Early Years,' in an interview with Empire Magazine.' Leo completely blew me away. The kid is the subject of almost every Conan act, which is unheard of. Everyone was like, 'We have to cut it down to ten minutes,' at the start.' And now everyone's like, 'Can we make this longer?' He was a natural performer. There aren't many young actors who could carry the weight.

Howard landed a leading role on the Disney XD comedy series "Jack," a teenage karate specialist who befriends a group of high school misfits. Howard recalled his reaction when he first heard the script to audition for the show, saying, "I saw it was a martial arts show and thought, 'Oh!'

I have to do this!'"

The series quickly became Disney XD's top-rated original series in the network's history, with Howard receiving top billing and doing all of his own stunts. "Fight At The Museum" was Howard's fourth episode on Season 4; "Fight At The Museum" was directed by Howard.

Howard appeared in Andrn – The Black Labyrinth, one of the film's main roles. He appeared in Alec Baldwin and Danny Glover's film. He also appeared on Lab Rats: Bionic Island as a guest speaker. He produced an episode of Gamer's Guide to Almost Everything in March 2016.

Howard landed a recurring role in Why Women Kill as "Tommy," an eighteen-year-old butler who leads Simone, a woman struggling with a divorce after she learned her husband was gay and had an affair with him. He appeared on the second season of The CW television series Legacies in a recurring role before being promoted to a series regular role in the series's third season.

Howard and his Band, Ask Jonesy & Company, is a band formed by Troy Romzek (lead vocals/guitar), Leo (lead guitar/vocals), and Ricky Ficarelli (bass/vocals), released their first album, Burning Fire, in 2017. They are due to debut their first album, June 2018.
