Lee Ki-seop (born January 17, 1991), commonly known as Kiseop, is a South Korean singer, dancer, actor and model.

He is best known for being a former member of South Korean boy group U-KISS formed by NH Media in 2008.

He joined U-KISS in November 2009.

Early life

Kiseop was born on January 17, 1991, in Seoul, South Korea where he lived with his parents and his older sister. He attended Yatab High School and was known for being a "Yatab Ulzzang", girls would follow him home and ask for his number.

Kiseop was also active in the dance circle during the High School years.

Career

Kiseop auditioned for a number of entertainment companies before his debut, but was turned down. He fell into depression and considered suicide, but his parents helped him get out of his suicidal stages.

On PKL's Wonderful Outing, Kiseop's first television appearance was with Girls' Generation. Before he auditioned and joined U-KISS, he was modeling for a friend. Kiseop appeared in their debut music video Not Young before officially joining U-KISS.

U-KISS began recording new songs for a sequel to Bring It Back 2 Old School in August 2009. On November 5, 2009, the EP ContiUKiss was announced by the company. It was Kiseop's first television appearance as the new U-KISS member on the same day.

Brave Brothers produced the single. On February 29, 2012, a Japanese-language version of their first Japanese album, A Shared Dream, was released.

Kiseop has appeared on Ulzzang Shidae's second season but was unable to attend due to U-KISS' tight schedule.

Kiseop and his fellow member Eli Kim began acting in an MBC sitcom called Real School in 2011. The pair acted in a 40-episode series, turning into high school students who live in "English Village" in an attempt to combat and overcome their fear of speaking English.

Kiseop, along with bandmates Dongho, Hoon, and Soohyun, produced a video titled Mr. Yinkin, featuring Jay Park, Kim Soo Ro and Park Yejin. In February 2011, Idol was the first to test it.

Kiseop, Soohyun, Eli, and Kevin appeared in the drama KPOP The Ultimate Audition in 2012, making brief cameo appearances in three episodes as a senior idol group to the main cast.

Kiseop, as well as his colleagues Soohyun and Kevin, took part in his first musical Summer Snow in 2013. He appeared in Goong Musical with Hoon from July 11, 2013 to July 15, 2013.

Kiseop was cast again in Goong Musical in 2014, with his bandmates Soohyun, Hoon, and Kevin.

Kiseop's deal with NH Media had ended on May 16, 2019 and the NH Media reported that he and another fellow U.KISS member Eli decided not to renew it.

Kiseop revealed on Instagram on August 1, 2019 that he would marry model/actress Jung Yoo Na.

Kiseop announced on January 24, 2022, that he had signed an exclusive deal with Tango Music, confirming that he is now a member of U-KISS.
