Early life

Lee Jung-jin obtained a degree in horticulture from Konkuk University before attending Hanyang University.

Personal life

Lee began his compulsory military service in 2005, where he served as a member of the Gwangjin District office's public service.

Good Neighbors, a South Korean international humanitarian and development group, has Lee as ambassador.

In January 2018, Lee's staff reported that he had been dating a former employee of Nine Muses' Euaerin since June 2017. In 2019, the couple split.

Career

Lee worked as a fashion model before being discovered by Jeong Young-beom, the CEO of talent agency Star J Entertainment, who discovered him as a fashion model. He made his acting debut in the 1998 sitcom Soonpoong Clinic and has appeared in many television dramas, including Two Outs in the Ninth Inning, Love Story in Harvard, The Fugitive: Plan B, and A Hundred Year Legacy.

He appeared in the films Once Upon a Time in High School, Mapado, Troubleshooter, Eun-ha, and, most notablely Pietà, for which he received the coveted Okgwan Order of Cultural Merit.

Lee appeared on KBS2's Happy Sunday as a cast member of the famous variety show segment Qualifications of Men.

In SBS TV's multi-starrer The King: Eternal Monarch, Lee Jung-jin portrayed Lee Lim, the illegitimate brother of King Lee Ho and half-uncle of Lee Gon.
