Her YouTube channel has over 9 million followers as of June 27, 2019.

Her channel has been dubbed "one of Canada's most well-known fashion and beauty YouTube channels." "Riihimaki started posting DIY tutorial videos on her website in her first year of University in Toronto."

She first joined YouTube in late 2011, primarily to post her sewing videos on the site.

She earned a degree in graphic communications administration from Ryerson University in 2015.

At the tenth annual ceremony, she received a Shorty Award in the "House & Home" category.

At the Awards' debut ceremony in 2017, she also received a Streamy Award in the "Lifestyle" category.

Personal life

Riihimaki has a Finnish and Ukrainian descent through her father (from whom she inherited her Finnish last name) and a Japanese descent through her mother.

Sebastian "Baz" Morris from 2010 to 2015, with the pair remaining friends after they split. Morris died in late May 2020. In 2015, she began dating YouTuber Alexander "Alex" Burriss, also known as Alex Wassabi on YouTube. They were dissolved in September 2018. Lauren has consistently stated that they had issues with commitment throughout their marriage.

Jeremy Lewis, a writer and entrepreneur from Riihimaki, began dating musician and entrepreneur Jeremy Lewis in 2019. They met for the first time when she was filming the "Roast Yourself Rap" film, which was in vogue in 2015. He collaborated with her to produce her video. In her podcast (Wild Til 9) she recounts how she and her assistant first mistook him for gay.

She graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University (previously Ryerson University) in 2015 with a degree in graphic communications management. At the tenth annual ceremony, she received a Shorty Award in the "House & Home" category. At the Awards' debut in 2017, she also received a Streamy Award in the "Lifestyle" category.
