Early life
Born Lark Holloway to Wayne and Tricia Holloway in Nashville, Tennessee, she later adopted "Voorhies" as a stage name. After the character in Margaret Avery's 1972 film Cool Breeze, her mother named her "Lark." The family had migrated to Pasadena, California, by the time Voorhies was two years old. "A natural-born ham" was her mother's concern during this time, who referred her to a talent agent because she was convinced that Voorhies was "a natural-born ham." Nonetheless, her first audition came out shaky when she froze up. At the age of 12, she appeared in a national television commercial for Universal Studios Tour, promoting the upcoming King Kong attraction. Personal life
During the series's run, Voorhies dated her Saved by the Bell co-star Mark-Paul Gosselaar for three years. In 1993, Voorhies was engaged to actor Martin Lawrence, but in 1994, it was called off again. In 1996, Voorhies married Miguel Coleman. They separated in 2001 and divorced in 2004. At a networking function in 2014, the attendees met music engineer Jimmy Green. Voorhies and Green married in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 30, 2015. After six months of marriage, voorhies filed for divorce in October 2015.

Voorhies filed a libel lawsuit against The National Enquirer on May 30, 2006, based on a study that claimed she had a heroin addiction when it was first announced in June 2005. In fewer than two months, the lawsuit was dismissed.
Entertainment career
Voorhies made her acting debut at the age of two. Although photogenic, she was shy, and her mother put Voorhies' acting work on hold until she was more at ease in front of the camera. Voorhies appeared on an episode of Small Wonder in 1988, at the age of fourteen. Lisa Turtle appeared in thirteen episodes from 1988 to 1989 in the same year. She remained as the same character as Zack, Scack, and Mr. Belding, until Disney pulled the series and retooled it by NBC and renamed Saved by the Bell.
Voorhies has since appeared in numerous television sitcoms and soap operas. Wendy Reardon appeared on Days of Our Lives in 1993 as a single mother. Jasmine Malone, the amiable intern fashion designer on The Bold and the Beautiful Voorhies, appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful Voorhies from September 1995. Since then, she has appeared in several films, including In the House, in which she played Dr. Max Stanton's girlfriend-turned-wife. She appeared on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air twice before playing Ribeiro's love interest twice. In addition to sitcoms, Voorhies have appeared in films and direct-to-video films. Voorhies was a major contributor to the film How High as Lauren, which was released in 2001. Ana Smith appeared in the 2008 film The Next Hit, she was involved in a 1990 film adaptation of the book The Black Man's Guide to Understanding Black Women. Despite the fact that she has only had two acting credits since 2008 and none since 2012, Voorhies' representatives cited a slew of jobs as the reason for her absence from appearing in a SBTB mini-reunion sketch on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" alongside Gosselaar, Lopez, Thiessen, and Dennis Haskins in 2015.
