Lara Mori Career

Junior career

Mori made her international debut at the 2012 City of Jesolo Trophy, assisting the Italian team in winning the silver medal behind the United States. She came in sixth overall in the all-around. Elisa Meneghini, Enus Mariani, Tea Ugrin, and Alessia Leolini were all members of the 2012 Junior European Championships, where they won the team silver medal behind the Russian team. Martina Rizzelli and Tea Ugrin were selected to compete in the 2013 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival, finishing fifth in the team competition. Mori came in thirteenth in the all-around final.

Senior career

Mori made her senior debut at 1st Italian Serie A, where Mori helped her team, Ginnica Giglio, finish fifth. Her team took the silver medal behind Brixia in their second season in Italian Serie A. Mori made her senior international debut at the City of Jesolo Trophy and aided the Italian team win the silver medal behind the United States. She helped her team finish seventh in Italian Serie A for the third time.

Mori placed sixth in the all-around, placed fourth in the uneven bars event final, and took the bronze medal on the floor exercise behind Elisa Meneghini. She then assisted Italy in winning the team gold medal at the Novara Cup. She finished seventh in the all-around and eighth on the uneven bars, and she took the silver medal on the floor exercise behind Erika Fasana. At the third Italian Serie A, she earned the gold medal in the all-around and the bronze medal in the all-around. She then represented Italy at the 2019 Summer University Universiade alongside Carlotta Ferlito and Martina Rizzelli, and the team won the team bronze medal behind Japan and Russia. Mori finished fifth in the all-around final and took the silver medal on the balance beam behind Hitomi Hatcheda. Desiree Carofiglio placed seventh on the balance beam and took the silver medal on the floor exercise at the Italian Championships. At the Cottbus World Cup, she captured the bronze medal on the floor exercise with Anastasija Bachynska and Kim Bui.

Mori finished fourth in the all-around and secured the bronze medal for her team in the 1st Italian Serie A. She gained the bronze medal on the floor exercise behind Jade Carey and Vanessa Ferrari in Melbourne, Australia. She qualified for the first time in third place in the Baku World Cup in March and qualified for the floor exercise final in first place. However, the finals of the event were postponed in Azerbaijan due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The International Gymnastics Federation announced in April that the final results of the qualification round would be considered the final results for the purpose of determining points in the 2020 Olympic qualification system, implying that Mori earned 30 points for finishing in first place. In October, she competed in the third Italian Serie A, winning the silver medal in the all-around class, behind Martina Maggio.

Mori gained a bronze medal with her club in March at the 1st Italian Serie A in March. She won a silver medal with her team and finished ninth in the all-around in the second Italian Serie A. Her team later finished ninth in the third Italian Serie A. She competed in the Doha World Cup in June and gained the silver medal on the floor exercise, behind Vanessa Ferrari.
