Kevin Rankin (born April 18, 1976) is an American actor.
He is best known for his appearances in the CBS series "Unfortably Poor," Tyler Briggs in the CBS series Trauma, Roe Sanders in the AMC series Breaking Bad, and Derek "Devil" Lennox in the FX TV series Justified, as Herc.
Personal life
Rankin went to Los Angeles in 2000, where he met Jill Farley. He suggested to her at the shooting of the pilot episode of Trauma. They married on October 23, 2010 and have a son and daughter together.
Early life and career
In 1976, Rankin was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He grew up with his parents and three older sisters up to age 11. The family then moved to Houston, Texas, where Rankin completed high school.
Rankin had intended on becoming a stunt man before finding that the main character, a stunt man, was actually played by actor Lee Majors.
Rankin began his acting career with an appearance on the television show Unsolved Mysteries. He began his acting career in 1997 with a small role in the drama film The Apostle. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, NYPD Blue, and Philly were all starring roles in various television series that followed starting in 2000, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, NYPD Blue, and Philly. In eleven episodes of "Doc" My Guide to Becoming a Rock Star in 2002, he appeared as "Doc" in an eleven episodes. In addition, he appeared in Undeclared, Six Feet Under, State of Mind, Bionic Woman, and Friday Night Lights.
In 2009, he was cast as "Tyler Briggs" in the NBC series Trauma. However, after the first season of 18 episodes, the series was cancelled. He appeared in five episodes of the HBO drama Big Love in 2011. He appeared in the film Unforgivetable from 2011-12. In the second season, his character was erased following a show rewrite. He has appeared in TNT's drama Claws since 2017.
