Keith Ferguson Career

Career

Ferguson spent time on daytime television production while still finding time to perform in local theatre companies and improvisation groups after studying dramatic performance and creative writing at the University of the Pacific and University of Southern California.

He began training for a career in voice-overs right around the end of his production career. Pat Brady, a voice-over agent who was working in Toluca Lake, California, and before even signing him out for representation, he sent him out on what would be his first professional voice-over audition (a sound-alike for Keanu Reeves in a 60-second radio spot satirizing The Matrix for the former Hollywood Video movie-rental franchise). He didn't book the role from his first VO audition, and Pat Brady, who worked with two talent agencies, will continue to represent him to this day.

He had his first experience in animation voice-over in 2000 with Rob Paulsen and David Sobolov, who had booked the role of Ray on Warner Bros' old, somewhat obscure CGI-animated web-series Li'l Green Men. He'll be cast in one of his first appearances in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, which was created by Craig McCracken for three years, over his three-year career in commercial spots, video games, animation, and sound-alike voice-matching for various films. In the animated series The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Friend Owl, as well as Harrison Ford's recurring portrayal as Han Solo and Indiana Jones in Robot Chicken, as well as other Star Wars parodies, this was accompanied by others. In the 2014 film The Lego Movie, he reprised his voice as Han Solo.

In addition to many vocal appearances in animation, including credits on Family Guy, Adventure Time, Phineas, and Ferb, Codename: Kids Next Door, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Legion of Super Heroes, and Attorney at Law, Harvey Birdman has been convicted of Owen Wilson's subbing as Lightning McQueen in Cars Toons: Mater's Tall Tales subbing for Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen.

Ferguson has worked in video games, including Basch fon Ronsenburg in Final Fantasy XII, Gabranth in Dissidia Final Fantasy and Dissidia 012 in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories.

Ferguson was also featured in two TV commercials for the sports beverage, Vitamin Water; one featuring race-car racer Carl Edwards, with Ralph Macchio introducing him as a hero of The Karate Kid; and the other a Super Bowl ad starring Shaquille O'Neal as an unexpected victorious horse-race jockey.
