Career

He is best known for his appearances as Tyr Anasazi, a ruthless Nietzschean mercenary who appeared on Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda from 2000 to 2005, as Noah Keefer on All My Children from 1994 to 1996.

Cobb was born in North Tarrytown, New York, and he graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University in 1987. He appeared in a number of Shakespearean productions in the New York area before leaping into television in the mid 1990s. Eyes Beyond Seeing, a 1995 film in which he plays a mental patient pretending to be Jesus Christ, was one of his first films.

Cobb appeared in two episodes of the Beastmaster television series in 1999, portraying a character very similar to his Andromeda counterpart.

Cobb was selected on People magazine's annual list of the "50 most beautiful people" in 1996.

At the beginning of the fourth season, he ended his television series, citing dissatisfaction with his character's growth.

American Moor, Cobb's 2015 play American Moor explores Black actors' writing and directing experiences in writing and directing scripts. The play received acclaim for its academic achievements.

He continues to perform in theater performances, including roles as Oberon and Duke Theseus in A Midsummer Night's Dream in New York's Geva Theater Center and the bigoted Juror #10 in Twelve Angry Men at Briggs Opera House in White River Junction, Vermont.
