Kathy Sledge Life

Kathy Sledge (born January 6, 1959) is an American singer-songwriter and producer.

Sledge is best known as the founding member and lead singer of the family vocal group Sister Sledge (made up of her sisters).

Sledge, who appeared on her own in 1989, has had several hits on the International Pop and Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, including "Take Me Back to Love Again," which reached the top spot in 1992.

Sledge continues to tour around the United States and internationally.

Personal life

Sledge has been married once before and has two children. Sledge has been married to musician Philip Lightfoot since 1981, and the two children, Kristen (b. ), are together. (b. 1983) and Phillip Jr. (b. 1985 (British) Kathy's relationship with her sisters after their initial fame, was somewhat tumultuous. The sisters' genuine love is still present. "All families butt heads, and although we fight, we still love each other," she says.
