Former Post Office boss Paula Vennells, who was wrongfully convicted in the Horizon fiasco, has pleaded guilty. It comes as demand for her to return the opulence of justice soared after an ITV drama - Mr Bates vs. The Post Office - thrust the widespread miscarriage of justice back into the spotlight. Jo Hamilton, a former subpoena, said she was 'glad' that the ex-Post Office had given her her CBE back, adding, 'It's apprehension that it took just a million people to cripple her conscience.' According to Ms Vennells, she may have to fork over her millions in compensation.

Ms Vennells said she was 'fully sorry' for the 'devastation' that had resulted in mistrust by her employer when her company routinely denied there were problems with her systems. "I've listened and I can confirm that I have returned my CBE with immediate effect," she said.
