Career

DJ Jubilee made Red rapping at a block party in New Orleans in 1998 and he signed her to Take Fo' Records. "Melpomene Block Party" was her first album, released in 1999.

Red, the first openly gay bouncer, created a distinctive style of bounce, which is often referred to as a sissy bounce. Her style is high-energy, with many calling and responding often used. Cheeky Blakk, Big Freedia, Sissy Nobby, Vockah Redu, and Cheeky Blakk performs and collaborates with other bounce artists, including Big Freedia, Sissy Nobby, Vockah Redu, and Cheeky Blakk.

Red and other New Orleans bounce artists were on display at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in 2011 titled "Where They Attract?" The exhibition was also on view at the Abrons Art Center in New York City and the Birdhouse Gallery in Austin.

Red is also a drag artist and appears under the name Keltny Galliano.
