Karolna Kurkova (Czech pronunciation: [-karolina kurkova]; born 28 February 1984] is a Czech model and actress best known for her appearances as a former Victoria's Secret Angel and Vogue cover star. Early life
Karolna Kurková was born in Dn, Czechoslovakia, to Josef Kurka, a Czech basketball player, and a Slovak mother. Kurková was ostracised for her height when she was young. But after a friend shared photos of Kurková to an agency in Prague at age 15, she landed a runway appearance as well as commercial and print media. She then moved to Milan to gain more experience and signed a Miuccia Prada modeling deal.

Kurková was first recognized at haute couture fashion shows after her Vogue cover story. In addition, the lingerie brand Victoria's Secret selected her to be a part of 2000's fashion show webcast, even though she was just 16 years old at the time. Prominent fashion houses like Yves Saint Laurent, Kurková, Manfa, Bottega Veneta, Donna Karan, Deni Saab, Ellen Saab, Celine, Fendi, Manuel, Galliano, Mango, Christian Dior, Hugo Boss, Versace, and others aided in the discovery of her even more.
