Karlos Arguiñano Life

Karlos Arguiano Urkiola (born September 6, 1948) is a Spanish chef, well-known TV host, and restaurateur, as well as a Basque pelota businessman. He began cooking as a child and helped at home because he was the eldest of four siblings and had a disabled mother. He worked for CAF, a rail car manufacturer in Beasain, before starting his cooking education. * When he was 17 years old, he decided to enroll in a course at the Escuela de Hosteler's del Hotel Euromar, where he was taught the main principles of cooking by Luis Irizar. * He met with some people who have gone on to do well in the culinary world, including Pedro Subijana and Ramón Roteta. Since 1978, Arcautz has had a hotel-restaurant on the beach in Zarautz. He was one of Spain's first TV chefs, La cocina de Karlos Arzanto [1], first on Euskal Telebista, then on Televisión Espaola, Argentine ATC, and later on Antena 3. Arguano's recipe includes tips, jokes, and amateur singing. Rico, rico y con fundamento ("Tasty, delectable, and with nutritional value") is his product, and his trademark is parsley. Eva Arguino, his sister, has appeared on television before, mostly in the dessert segment of the program. He has taken over the show from his production company Asegarce. Asegarce also owns a large portion of the Basque pelota industry, and is one of the television companies owned by La Sexta.
