Karlie Elizabeth Kloss (born August 3, 1992) is an American fashion model and entrepreneur.
Vogue Paris revealed her as one of the "top 30 models of the 2000s" at just 17. Kloss was a Victoria's Secret Angel from 2013 to 2015, but she left to study at New York University because of her modelling work, she has an obsession with electronics and has founded the "Kode with Klossy" camp, which aims to inspire young girls to pursue STEM fields.
Early life and education
Kloss was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 3, 1992, to Tracy, a freelance director, and Kurt Kloss, an emergency physician. Her family has traces of German, Danish, and Polish roots. She has three sisters. In 1994, she and her family moved to St. Louis, Missouri. In 2013, the family moved to Goshen, New York, to continue her modeling career. Kloss characterized classical ballet training as "awesome thing" that taught her how to function in modelling and was a good preparation ground for her runway walk.
