Karan Wahi (born 9 June 1986) is an Indian actor, model, and television host.

Wahi has also competed for the Delhi Under-17 cricket team.

He began his television work with the 2004 television show Remix on Star One after moving to Mumbai.

He appeared in the well-known youth show Dill Mill Gayye, which he later rose to fame in. Wahi has appeared in stage plays and appeared on numerous awards and television shows in addition to his acting career.

He appeared on Colors TV's comedy program Comedy Nights Bachao in 2017. He appeared on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8, anchored Entertainment Ki Raat and India's Next Superstars with Rithvik Dhanjani in 2017.

In Habib Faisal's romantic comedy film Daawat-e-Ishq (2014), he made his Bollywood debut with a supporting role.

He made his second Bollywood appearance in Hate Story 4 (2018) as one of the principals.

Karan Wahi Career

Early life and cricket career

Wahi was born in Delhi on June 9th, 1986, to a Punjabi father and a Kashmiri mother. He earned his secondary school education at the IILM Institute in St. Mark's Senior Secondary School and finished his high school at the IILM Institute.

Wahi began his career as a cricketer, representing St. Mark's Senior Secondary Public School during his time in the city. He was selected for Delhi's Under-19 cricket team in 2003, alongside Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan. Wahi had to leave the sport and enroll in a marketing degree in order to join his father's company due to a big accident.

Wahi came to fame in 2004 after being cast in Ranveer Sisodia's lead role.

Career

Wahi began his acting career with the 2004 "Rose Audio Visuals" television series Remix, where he played Ranveer Sisodia, the angry teenage boy protagonist, opposite Shweta Gulati. The show was based on the lives of 12th-grade students in an elite academy for the children of the wealthy and the wealthy, as well as scholarship students from poorer families. The show's success earned him the prestigious Telly Award for GR8 Best Male Newcomer.

Wahi made a comeback in the 2009 Colors TV soap opera Mere Ghar Aayi Pari as the male lead opposite Mugdha Chaphekar after a break from fiction television shows. In Cinevistaas Limited's medical drama series Dr. Siddhant Modi starring Jennifer Winget by the following year.

On Sony Entertainment Television's romance-drama show Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, he was also seen playing Rohan, a fun-loving guy. In 2012, Wahi was partnered with Chhavi Pandey to star in Shontara Productions' anthology collection Teri Meri Love Stories. In 2016, Wahi was the lead character in &TV's Kahani Hamari...Dil Dosti Deewanepan Ki.

In 2014, Wahi appeared in his first film with Habib Faisal's romantic comedy film Daawat-e-Ishq. Amjad appeared in a supporting role for a Hyderabadi boy, alongside Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur.

He has also signed to appear as Rhea Chakraborty in the 2014 romantic drama film Babbu Ki Jawani, directed by Amritpal Singh Bindra of UTV Spotboy Productions.

In September 2015, Wahi appeared as a comedian contestant alongside Bharti Singh in Colors TV's comedy program Comedy Nights Bachao.

The Indian Telly Awards and Star Guild Awards are among the many red carpet events and awards shows hosted by Wahi. He was co-host of two seasons of Nach Baliye along with Gautam Rode, who also hosted the second series of the same show, Sriman vs. Srimati, alongside Aishwarya Sakhuja.

He appeared on the red carpet segment of the 5th Zee Gold Awards in July 2012. He was then seen co-hosting the singing reality show Indian Idol Junior, alongside Mandira Bedi. For the second season as the host of Dance India Dance Super Moms, he replaced Jay Bhanushali.

Wahi was a contestant on the celebrity talent hunt show Mr. & Ms. TV judged by filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and actress Sonali Bendre in March 2008. He appeared on the travel reality show Ritz Jee Le Ye Pal in September 2011, which he won. In the fifth season of BBC Productions' celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, he appeared as a wild card, but was eventually pulled next month. Khatron Ke Khiladi, a former contestant, appeared in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi's next season.

Wahi appeared in two episodes of Colors Television's most popular comedy talk show Comedy Nights with Kapil. He was also a member of the winning team of the first season of the reality show Box Cricket League. He appeared in the reality game show India Poochega Sabse Kaun?, hosted by actor Shah Rukh Khan in March 2015. Aditya Raj Singh, opposite Niyati Fatnani, is currently playing the lead role in the Star Bharat television series Channa Mereya. The series debuted in May and then debuted on television on July 5th. Every Monday to Saturday at 7 p.m., it is on display.
