Kana Hanazawa (, Hanazawa Kana, 1989), a Japanese actress, voice actress, and singer, born in February 25, 1989. Since her debut in 1990, a prolific voice actor in anime has amassed several film and television credits. In 2015, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, and in 2015, 2017, and 2018, she received the Newtype Anime Awards for Best Voice Actress three times.

Career

Hanazawa started acting when she was in kindergarten. She appeared on televisions as a regular participant in the Yappari Sanma Daisensei program.

In Last Exile, she made her voice acting debut as Holly. In Zegapain, she played Ryoko Kaminagi. She was hired by Voice acting agency Office Osawa.

Hanazawa went to college in 2007, but she also began to make her name as a voice actor at the same time. In Kobato, Suou in Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor, Nadeko Sengoku in Bakemonogatari, Angel Beats, and Anri Sonohara in Durarara! She was named "Best Female Voice Actress" by listeners of Nonko and Nobita's Anime Scramble in 2010 (). She graduated from university in 2011 and became a full-time voice actor in the same year. She was invited to the Anime Festival Asia anime convention in Singapore in late 2010.

Hanazawa will debut her official website on February 23, 2012. It was announced on September 25, "Happy Endings" (), released on October 24, "Towerize), a few days later, "Silent Snow" was announced on October 26, 2013. Claire was released on February 20, 2013, her first album Claire was released on February 20, 2013, and her second album 25 was released on February 26, 2014. She released an album name Blue Avenue in April 2015 and announced a concert tour that began at the Nippon Budokan on May 3. Live Avenue Kana Hanazawa in Budokan, the Blu-ray version of the film, has ranked sixth in sales.

At the 9th Seiyu Awards, Hanazawa received the Best Support Actress award. She later received the Best Voice Actress award from Newtype. Hanazawa appeared in her first live action feature film Kimi ga Inakucha Dame Nanda () (It's Certainly No Good You're Not Here). Her video will debut tenth in Oricon's Blu-ray Disc Chart. In April 2017, Hanazawa joined Sony Music Entertainment Japan under the Sacra Music record label.

She is now signed to Pony Canyon as a 2021 resident.
