She is currently vice captain of Saif Saga Sports Club's women cricket team.

Early life and education

Kainat Imtiaz was born in Karachi on June 21, 1992. Aga Khan School began her early education. When she entered class III, she was accepted into Hamdard Public School. In 2010, she graduated from Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Karachi (AKHSS).

Kainat met Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami and decided to become a fast bowler during the 2005 Women's Asia Cup in Pakistan. Kainat Imtiaz was born on March 30th, 2022, to Mohammad Waqar Uddin.

Career

She represented her school as both the captain and fast bowler in the U-17 Cricket tournament organized by Pakistan Cricket Board in 2007. Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah presented her with the prize, and she was proclaimed Player of the Tournament. She took first place in a slew of Athletic events such as 200 meters, 400 meters, Shot-put, and the Relay Race in the same year. She travelled to Hyderabad to compete in the first ever U-17 Women Cricket Tournament as the team's captain. She was later selected for the Pakistan Camp in Karachi for the World Cup qualifying round. She was the youngest player in the probables of 30 players. She played her second U-17 Women Cricket tournament in Lahore in 2008 as a captain. Her team won the tournament in Hyderabad and Lahore, both in the same year. She was selected for the 2009 Women's Cricket World Cup in Pakistan, which was held in Australia. She was the youngest player in the team's camp and after a one-month absence, she was selected as a reserve for the World Cup Team. In 2008, she went to China to represent Pakistan in the Super Sixes tournament. She was a strike fast bowler of the south zone team in her first 20-20 Quadrangular Women Cricket tournament. Kainat joined the PIA Cricket Academy to improve her skills under the guidance of coaches including Azeem Hafiz, Zahid, Sajid, and Sagheer Abbas (younger brother Zaheer Abbas). She was selected for the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou.

In the touring party of 17 for the three ODIs and T20Is each, Kainat Imtiaz was recalled. As Pakistan prepare for the Women's World Cup Qualifier in July 2021 in New Zealand, a 17-player squad was named for the three ODIs and as many T20Is. After an outstanding show in the domestic circuit, she was recalled. She averaged 111 from four games in a half-century, as well as taking three wickets at her medium speed.

She was selected in Pakistan's squad for the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament in Zimbabwe in October 2021. She was named in Pakistan's squad for the cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, in May 2022.
