Jordan Michael Houston III was born on April 5, 1975. He devoured a number of books and essays on the music industry, learning about marketing, publishing, and royalties as a child. He looked up to fellow Tennessee artist Al Bell, who was brief co-owner of Stax Records for a short period of time. In the 11th grade at North Side High School, he wrote "Slob on My Knob."

Career
Juicy J was a co-founder of Three 6 Mafia in 1991 and was a member of the Southern hip hop group now known as Three 6 Mafia. Crunchy Black, Gangsta Boo, and Koopsta Knicca are among DJ Paul and Lord Infamous, rappers. Juicy J, alongside DJ Paul, has founded Prophet Entertainment. They gave the name to their company partner Nick "Scarfo" Jackson in 1994 and then launched Hypnotize Minds. The group unveiled Mystic Stylez, the group's first official album in 1995. Since then, the company has released 8 albums. He unveiled his solo debut studio album Chronicles of the Juice Man under North North Records on July 2, 2002. Juicy J, as well as DJ Paul, Crunchy Black, and Frayser Boy, received an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" at the 78th Academy Awards in 2006. His second studio album Hustle Till I Die, was released under the brand Hypnotize Minds and Select-O-Hits on June 16, 2009.
