Juan Pizarro a.k.a. "Tern" (born February 7, 1937) is a retired Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher.

He played for 18 seasons on 9 clubs, from 1957 to 1974.

He played 19 games (19–9) and pitched 4 shutouts for the Chicago White Sox in 1964.

In 1963 and 1964, he was also an All-Star player.

Early years

Pizarro (birth name:Juan Ramon Pizarro Cordova) was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He started his baseball career in Puerto Rico in 1955 as a pitcher for the Cangrejeros de Santurce. He was voted the Most Valuable Player of the season during the 1957--1958 Winter League of Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico Baseball League). For the final time in Puerto Rico for the Cangrejeros del Santurce, he pitched from 1959 to 1960.
