Early life and career
Covarrubias, a native of Guadalajara, attended Instituto Cumbres San Javier, the prestigious boys academy. He studied at the CEA of Televisa and later became involved in the youth telenovela Atrévete a sor, playing Johnnie. He later appeared in Bella & Bestia. In 2010, Covarrubias appeared in the telenovela Teresa, portraying a young man named Julio.
