Jorrit Hendrix Career

Club career

Hendrix joined SV Panningen as a youth footballer. He attended PSV Eindhoven's youth academy in 2004. In the second tier Eerste Divisie against Sparta Rotterdam, Hendrix made his professional debut as a Jong PSV player on August 3, 2013. He made his Economisie debut against NEC in a 5–0 home victory a week later. After 86 minutes, he was recalled Karim Rekik. Hendrix signed a new deal with PSV ten days after his official debut, effectively committing him to the club until 2017. He made his first appearance against Cambuur at home on August 31, 2013. On October 26, 2014, Hendrix scored the first goal for the PSV first team. In the 25th minute of a league match against Utrecht on that day, he scored the 3–0. Hendrix won his first league title with PSV on April 18, 2015, after the club had held a tie lead since the club's second matchday of the season. On matchday 31 and home against Heerenveen, a 4–1 win ensured the trophy was secure. As a result, Hendrix made his debut in the UEFA Champions League main tournament on September 15, 2015. PSV defeated Manchester United 2–1 at home on the day, with Hendrix playing the entire game.

During a 1–0 competition match against Vitesse on December 5, Hendrix scored the game's sole goal. He made sure PSV scored at least one goal in his 42nd league game in a row, a new record in the Elysian league. This record has now grown to 54 league games. Hendrix renewed his deal with PSV until 2020 on December 18, 2015; he ended it on December 18, 2015. On May 8, 2016, he dominated the league for the second time in a row. The club began the season with the same number of points as rivals Ajax but with a negative six goal difference. PSV beat PEC Zwolle 13-03 on the day, while Ajax drew 1-1 at De Graafschap. Hendrix saw this from the stands as he missed the last four games of the season due to a injury.

Hendrix debuted as a starter in the 2016–17 season. Hendrix was given the number 8 shirt upon midfielder Stijn Schaars' departure. He left the pitch with a knee injury during a Champions League match against FC Rostov in late September. He was hospitalized until he returned to action in a league match over Excelsior on January 14th. He did not return as a starter this year, with fellow midfielders Andrés Guardado and Davy Pröpper almost always preferred, and Siem de Jong, newcomer Bart Ramselaar, and especially Marco van Ginkel all fighting for the position in midfield. Hendrix was recalled as a starter for the 2017-18 season, following the first matchday. He won the national championship with PSV for the third time this year, defeating Ajax 3–0 on April 15, 2018 in the hopes of clinching the championship. Hendrix signed a one-and-a-half-year deal with PSV on January 14th, 2019 until mid-2021. He faced opposition from Michal Sadek, who already knew his new head coach Mark van Bommel from his time as the PSV U19 coach throughout the season.

They won 78 of their first 100 matches for PSV. He currently ranks in the top ten of players with the most Economies victories in their first one hundred games. Johan Cruijf, Johan Neeskens, Ruud Krol, Arie Haan, and Edwin van der Sar are among the illustrious list, which includes Johan Cruijf, Johan Neeskens, Arie Haan, and Edwin van der Sar. Horst Blankenburg, a former Ajax player, leads the way with 83 victories in his first 100 games.

Hendrix left PSV's deal for less than six months and joined Spartak Moscow in a €500,000 transfer. Spartak announced on January 16, 2021, that he had agreed to a long-term deal with the club. He took his first training session with Spartak at the winter training camp in Dubai on January 17, 2021. In the starting lineup of the Russian Cup's away match against Dynamo Moscow, a 0–2 loss, he made his debut for the club on February 2021. He made his league debut in the 0–2 home loss to Rubin Kazan on February 28th.

He joined Feyenoord on loan until the 2021–22 season, with the option to buy.

Hendrix, a German musician, signed a one-year deal with Fortuna Düsseldorf on August 11th.
