Jorge Javier Morales (born 25 July 1970) is a Spanish television presenter, writer, and actor.

Early life and beginnings

Vázquez was born in Badalona, Catalonia, Spain, in the Sant Roc district. Mara Morales Martnez's mother hails from Alcaraz, Castilla-La Mancha, and his father is from Cieza, Murcia. Ana and Esther, he has two sisters.

Vázquez graduated from the University of Barcelona in Spanish language and literature. He moved to Madrid, where he worked as an editor for teen magazine Super Pop and celebrity, as well as women's magazine Pronto, at the age of 25.

Career and other

Vázquez appeared on Extra Rosa, hosted by Rosa Villacastn and Ana Rosa Quintana in 1997. He began as a journalist in the United States and its summer version Sabor a verano. He debuted in Rumore, 2001, alongside Francine Gálvez, rumore.

In the morning television show D'a d'a, hosted by Mara Teresa Campos, Vázquez left Antena 3 and moved to Telecinco, where he began to appear as a panelist on the morning television show D a d'a. He began to perform on March 24, 2003, alongside Carmen Alcayde, on a show that took him to fame, Aqu'hay tomate, which concentrated on tabloid stories and the world of celebrities. The daily show lasted until 1 February 2008 with high ratings, but it was chastised for sensationalism. He hosted Hormigas blancas in 2007, a show that reimagined a celebrity's personal life each episode.

Vázquez was reinstated to Telecinco in September 2008 as the host of the daily highlights and the weekly debate show of Gran Hermano (Big Brother) after a hiatus of some months.

He began hosting Sálvame, a side show of Supervivientes: Persuader Spain), where the highlights of the reality show were debated in March 2009. Sálvame diario, a daily afternoon talk show that focuses on celebrities, are often discussed, as panelists, or colaboradores to use the Spanish word. A large audience follows a show that has been characterized as telebasura or tabloid television. As hosts, Jorge Javier Vázquez and Paz Padilla alternate. Sálvame Golfo, a late-night version of the game, was launched shortly after it was announced as Sálvame Deluxe, a week later.

According to the jury, Vázquez received the Ondas Award for Best Television Presenter on October 16, 2009, "for renovating with brio and appreciation of the host in a tense genre." The award sparked controversy, and Carles Francino, who had the honor of giving out the award, was unable to do so and was replaced by Arturo Valls.

Vázquez and Belén Esteban hosted the New Year's Eve special broadcast for Telecinco from Madrid's Puerta del Sol on December 31, 2009, along with Vázquez. Vázquez, along with singer Isabel Pantoja and her son Kiko Rivera, returned to host Vázquez two years ago.

In May 2011, Vázquez became the main host of Supervivientes: Perpetuo de Honduras (eighth season of Survivor Spain). It was the most viewed season of the series in Spain. In the ninth (2014), tenth, 11th (2016), twelfth (2017), thirteenth (2018), and fourteenth (2019) seasons, Vázquez returned to host in the ninth (2014), tenth (2015), twelfth (2016), twelfth (2016), twelfth (2016), fourteenth (2016), and fourteenth (2019) seasons. Vázquez hosted Acorralados (Spanish third season of The Farm), thanks to the farm's success.

Vázquez appeared on Hayuna cosa que te decir's first three seasons from April 2012 to March 2014, as well as the fifth season from November 2014 to February 2015. He hosted Makeover Show Cámbiame Premium in September 2015, which was cancelled after three weeks due to poor reception.

With the musical Miguel de Molina al desnudo, which premiered at the Teatro Echegara in Málaga on October 3, 2014, Vázquez ventured into theatre performance in 2014. Vázquez debuted as a lead in Iba en serio, his first autobiographical book, which premiered at Teatro Cervantes in Málaga on September 4, 2015. He appeared in the musical Grandes éxitos in 2018.

Vázquez was one of the creators of the 2017 musical comedy film Holy Camp!
