Jorge Aarón Claraz Juárez (Spanish pronunciation: [xokla]; born 8 January 1986) is a Honduran footballer who plays for Alajuelense.
Club career
Claros began his career at Vida before joining Honduran giants F.C. In 2005, Motagua was founded. He appeared at Aberdeen, Scotland, in January 2012. He then started trials with another Scottish club, Hibernian, and signed a Hibernian loan agreement on January 31. Claros aided Hibernian in the 2012 Scottish Cup Final, but he was forced to leave early in the first half of a 5–1 loss to Hearts. Hibs announced on January 16, 2013 that the clubs were in talks to extend the loan agreement. The contract was extended to the end of the 2012–13 season in January. Claros helped Hibernian reach the 2013 Scottish Cup Final, which resulted in a 3–0 loss to Celtic. Hibernian had offered him a long-term deal but Motagua refused to pay a substantial transfer fee.
On July 16, 2014, the Claros joined Sporting Kansas City in the Major League Soccer team Sporting Kansas City.
International career
Claros was a member of the Honduras national football team at the 2005 Youth World Cup in the Netherlands and the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He made his senior national team debut against Venezuela in August 2006 and has since July 2012, netting 2 goals. He has represented his country in three FIFA World Cup qualification tournaments, as well as at the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Claros was recalled to the national team in September 2012 for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Cuba. In a 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup match against El Salvador, he scored his only goal of the game, ensuring that Honduras secured a spot in the tournament's knockout stages.
