Jordan Pruitt Life

Jordan Lynne Pruitt (born May 19, 1991) is an American singer-songwriter-producer living in Nashville, Tennessee.

At age 13, after recording a demo EP with Keith Thomas in 2005, Pruitt was signed to Hollywood Records.

She went on to tour with the likes of numerous other artists such as Demi Lovato, The Jonas Brothers, High School Musical, The Cheetah Girls, and The Plain White T’s.

She is writing her first book, AA:Abused Anonymous, a 12-step self-help book for those who have been abused.

She is hoping to publish the book in 2020.

She is also working on a charitable initiative called "Safe Haven", a private group based in Nashville for those who have suffered from sexual abuse and assault.Pruitt has released two albums, the debut, No Ordinary Girl (2007), followed by Permission to Fly (2008).

Her debut single, "Outside Looking In", charted on the US Billboard 100 at number 77.

She announced her retirement from music and Hollywood in 2017.

Early life

Pruitt was born and raised in Loganville, Georgia. She went to school at Covenant Christian Academy. She started writing songs at age nine. In 2005, she recorded a demo album that was eventually discovered. Shortly after, Pruitt was signed to Hollywood Records.

Personal life

Pruitt is a Christian. Pruitt has spoken about her faith saying, "The only thing that centers me on a daily basis is Jesus Christ..."

In May 2014, Pruitt became engaged to fellow The Voice alum Brian Fuente. The two were married on May 24, 2015. She and her husband currently own The Aero Bar and AeroBuild in Nashville, TN. In September 2020, she gave birth to their first child.

In December 2018, Pruitt wrote a lengthy Facebook post about past abuse she experienced in the music business. Pruitt eventually named Nashville record producer Keith Thomas, her former manager, as her abuser in her lawsuit filed on August 14, 2019. The lawsuit has since been dismissed without prejudice.

Pruitt's debut single, "Outside Looking In," was released in June 2006 to promote the Disney Channel TV film Read It and Weep. No Ordinary Girl, her debut studio album, was released on February 6, 2007, and it reached number 60-four on the US Billboard 200 chart.

Pruitt appeared on select dates during the Cheetah Girls' opening act on their 2006 tour. In addition, she appeared on all tour dates of the High School Musical: The Concert in 2006. Pruitt appeared on the main theme song for the 2007 Disney film Jump In!, "Jump to the Beat." Pruitt appeared on Demi Lovato's Live In Concert tour in 2009.

Permission to Fly, Pruitt's second studio album, was released on July 22, 2008.

Pruitt also performed "Take to the Sky" on the soundtrack to Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure. The cover of "This Christmas" appeared in the compilation album All Wrapped Up Vol. 1. 2.

Pruitt was no longer under contract with Hollywood Records in February 2011, but Jonas Records was signed. Pruitt unveiled her song "Shy Boy" on Facebook and YouTube on March 1. The version of "Shy Boy" that was released on March 1 was later confirmed to be only good for promotional use; however, a live version of the song would be on her forthcoming album. "What a Feeling" was the first leak in April 2011. It was expected that it would be on her new album. Pruitt's YouTube account shared a preview of a new song, "Something's Gotta Give" on July 5.

Pruitt announced on her official website and at the start of a video of her performing "My Love Is Like a Star" by Demi Lovato that she would be offering seven unreleased songs, one song a week, as well as a music video on September 2, 2012.

Pruitt made a YouTube video titled "R.I.P Amanda Todd" on October 12, 2012. Amanda Todd had discovered that her last YouTube video was of her singing Pruitt's "Outside Looking In" before she committed suicide. Pruitt continued to say that she wished people would avoid bullying and cyberbullying and that her hopes and prayers were with Todd's family.

Pruitt revealed on her official Facebook page that she auditioned for the third season of the American singing television competition The Voice on August 3, 2012. On September 24, 2012, her blind audition aired on NBC. Katy Perry performed "The One That Got Away" on her own. Christina Aguilera was the only one of the four coaches to turn around, and Pruitt became a member of Team Christina by default. The second half of Pruitt's battle against Adriana Louise was broadcast on October 23, 2012, when the two singers performed "Hot n Cold" by Perry. Louise was ruled the champion by Aguilera, excluding Pruitt from the tournament. Following Pruitt's dismissal from The Voice, she sent a tweet to supporters to announce that she was going to take on the country genre.

Pruitt announced on December 1, 2017 that she would be leaving music on December 1, 2017. She has been a co-owner of The Aero Bar since 2017, along with her husband Brian Fuente.
