Rittz Career

Career

Rittz was born in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, on August 16, 1980, and he and his family moved to the suburbs of Gwinnett County, Georgia, when he was eight years old. His parents were ardently involved in rock and roll, making sure that he and his siblings were introduced to musical instruments and recording studios from a young age.

Rittz's musical career stalled in 2003, following several disappointments. “I won Battlegrounds on Hot 107.9, but got out and shook, and felt like I was ‘bout to make it.' However, so many industries are up and downs, with executives and contracts,” He was dissatisfied, living with colleagues, and he was likely to resign from the rap game. However, Yelawolf had contacted him in 2009, resulting in financial assistance. Rittz says, "Everything was going fine until it fell out and then it stopped," Rittz says, "I'm getting older, thinking it's time to hang it up." This isn't going to happen, and that's when Yelawolf put me on 'Box Chevy,'" Rittz said in a 2013 interview that he had supported himself by doing various "nine to five" jobs, including restaurant jobs. Rittz went on to say that he would often tell people he was a gang even when he was not online.

Rittz's career breakthrough came with the debut of Yelawolf's 2010 EP track "Box Chevy." Since then, he has often collaborated with Yelawolf, and the two toured together on the 2012 Slumerican Tour. Rittz is also known for his 2011 mixtape White Jesus. He re-released White Jesus: Revival in 2012, and he took his favorite songs from White Jesus and added a few new songs.

In 2012, Rittz joined Tech N9ne's Strange Music. Rittz and Tech N9ne immediately started working together, releasing the famous collaboration remix of Rittz's "Bloody Murdah" shortly after Rittz joined the band. On April 30, 2013, Jonny Valiant's solo debut, The Life and Times of Jonny Valiant, was released. Rittz performed with Wax, Rapsody, Emis Killa, and Jon Connor in the first cypher at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards on October 15, 2013.

Rittz revealed on Facebook in April 2014 that his new album Next To Nothing would be announced on September 9, 2014. Rittz revealed in a NEHipHop interview in August 2015 that he would debut Top of the Line. Rittz revealed in July 2017 that his new album, Last Call, will be released on September 29, 2017.

Rittz had fulfilled his contractual obligations to Strange Music and decided not to renew his deal, amiably parting ways with the brand following the release of Last Call. CNT Entertainment is a film that was developed by the artist.
