Their last home - along with about a dozen other permanent residents and a few volunteers - was Monkton Wyld Court, a Grade II-listed neo-Gothic rectory in Dorset. They'd been there for years. Simon for 13 and Jasmine and Jon, five and four respectively. Until early last year - with the arrival of a new resident called Stephen Williams, it all started unravelling in a blizzard of disagreements, allegations and counter allegations.

You'd never see Tom and Barbara Good getting up to such hair-raising shenanigans among the radishes on their allotment. But now a Good Life-style hippy community has been torn apart by allegations of bullying and theft. Since 1940, idealists at Monkton Wyld Court - a Grade II-listed Victorian rectory near Lyme Regis in Dorset - have been exploring 'co-operative living' and sustainable self-sufficiency, while hosting yoga retreats and even the odd orgy. They have lived off their 11 acres by rearing pigs, harvesting fruit and veg, and producing cheese from their micro-dairy. Long-serving resident Simon Fairlie (left), 73, even led the dozen 'intentional community' members in mowing the lawns with scythes. But that all ended last year after newcomer Stephen Williams (right), 47, a petrol mower-loving handyman, applied for residency. Within a day, he had complained of being bullied by Mr Fairlie - and was backed by a new group of trustees running the charity that oversaw the commune.

Army officer Robert Nairac is believed to have been taken while on an undercover operation in a pub in south Armagh in 1977 and moved across the border to Flurry Bridge in County Louth where he was killed. The remains of the Grenadier Guards captain have never been found. He is considered to be part of a group of 16 people, known as the Disappeared, who were killed and secretly buried by paramilitary groups.
