Isabelo Lastimosa, Jr. (born March 10, 1964), better known as Jojo Lastimosa and by his nickname "Jolas"Mr.

Clutch, the 4th Quarter Man, and PBA Jordan for his deadly perimeter shooting. He is a Filipino former professional basketball player who competed in the Philippine Basketball Association for the Purefoods Hotdogs, the Alaska Aces, and the Pop Cola Panthers from 1988-2002.

He was also a former member of the Philippines' national basketball team in the 1980s and 1990s.

He also worked for the University of San Jose Recoletos in Cebu City.

He spent time in Ateneo de Manila.

He is the current head coach of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. (MPBL).

Jojo Lastimosa Career

College and amateur career

Lastimosa was one of eight rookies of the Ateneo de Manila University of Ateneo in 1981-82, and he transferred to University of San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu City. Danny Bennett, Danny's elder brother, was drafted into the Love Basketball club team of Mama's Love basketball team in June 1983. He received his first break and exposure in the Manila basketball scene through the premier amateur league (PABL). He was able to display his basketball abilities in this league.

Lastimosa earned MVP accolades while playing for Mama's Love in the first conference of the 1985 PABL season. Samboy Lim joined the Lhuillier Jewelers in the PABL's first championship. He spent his two years in the amateur league with the Jewelers of Yayoy Alcoseba, although he was a borrowed player when RFM-Swifts captured their first PABL title in 1987 and was named Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament, defeating former national teammate Alvin Patrimonio.

PBA career

Lastimosa and Jerry Codie were the first two people to play in the pro league commissioned by newcomer Purefoods Hotdogs. He was already trained to be a future PBA superstar. Jolas had such success in his first season and was named Rookie of the Year by the University. In the 1990 Third Conference, he captured his first PBA title with the Hotdogs, but the Alaska Milkmen were his best years, beginning with a trade with Boy Cabahug beginning in 1991 PBA season. Lastimosa has won 9 championships with Alaska, including a grandlam in 1996. In the twilight of his career, Jolas moved to Pop Cola in 2000-2001 before returning to his hometown, the Alaska Aces, in 2002.
